Standard Spoken Tamil Keyboard (com.standardspokentamil.spokentamilkeyboard)
Last updated: 30 September 2026

Standard Spoken Tamil Keyboard (“the app”, “we”) is an on-screen keyboard for typing Tamil in the Standard Spoken Tamil romanization. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

In short: the app does not collect, store, or share any personal data, and it works entirely offline.

Data we collect

None. The app does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.

What you type

As an input method, the app must process the characters you type in order to display them and to offer word suggestions. This processing happens entirely on your device, in memory, while you are typing.

Passwords and other content in fields marked sensitive by other apps are handled by the Android system in the usual way and are never stored by this app.

Permissions

The app binds to the Android input-method system (BIND_INPUT_METHOD) so it can function as a keyboard. It requests no other runtime permissions — no contacts, location, microphone, camera, storage, or Internet access.

Data sharing

Because the app collects no data, there is nothing to share. No data is sent to us or to any third party.

Children's privacy

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
